Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.
Answering System
Answering system
Important: L Only 1 person can access the answering system at a time. L When callers leave messages, the unit records the day and time of each message. Make sure the date and time have been set (page 17). L The unit�s answering system will not answer incoming calls on your FaxAbility number. Memory capacity The total recording capacity (including your greeting message and caller messages) is about 15 minutes. A maximum of 64 messages (including a greeting message) can be recorded. L If the message memory becomes full, the ANSWER ON indicator flashes rapidly (if the answering system is turned on). Erase unnecessary messages (page 33). L If less than 3 minutes of recording time are available, the unit announces the remaining recording time when operating the answering system. Erase unnecessary messages (page 33).
Screening calls While a caller is leaving a message, you can listen to the call through the base unit�s speaker. To adjust the speaker volume, press {>} or {<} repeatedly. You can answer the call by pressing {C} on the handset. Turning off the call screening feature When the base unit is not in use, press {GREETING CHECK}, then press {<} repeatedly until �0� is displayed. OR While screening, press {<} repeatedly until �0� is displayed. Note: L If you adjust the speaker volume while listening to messages or talking on the intercom, the speaker volume for call screening is turned on again.
Recording your greeting message
You can record your own greeting message (max. 2 minutes) that is played when the answering system answers a call. If you do not record a greeting message, a prerecorded greeting message is used.
Turning the answering system on/off
Press {ANSWER ON} to turn on/off the answering system. L When the answering system is turned on, the ANSWER ON indicator lights. L When the answering system is turned off, the ANSWER ON indicator turns off.

{GREETING REC} Within 10 seconds, press {GREETING REC} again. After the base unit beeps, speak clearly about 20 cm away from the MIC. To stop recording, press {STOP}.
