Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.
The manual was very helpfull, it answerdes all my questions, and i was surprized to find the original manual on this site! Big thumbs uP:)

Select the aspect, conventional size screen (4:3) or wide screen (16:9), when connecting to your TV set.

"16:9": Select when a wide screen TV set is connected. (Factory preset) Select this if the disc video type is 16:9. (For wide screen TV's, set the screen mode to "Full".) "4:3 LETTERBOX": Select when a conventional TV set is connected. Wide video with an aspect ratio like 16:9 is played back on the screen with black bands on the top and bottom. "4:3 PAN&SCAN": Select when a conventional TV set is connected. Wide video with an aspect ratio like 16:9 is played back on the screen with either both sides or one side cut off. � If Pan & Scan or Letterbox is designated beforehand on the disc side, the disc designation takes priority.
